Mud Slimes are rare slimes found anywhere after rain. They eat mud collected with the vacpack, and favor nothing. Mud slimes don't die on any other surfaces that aren't mud, but instead move much slower on other surfaces, but move faster on mud.

Mud slimes are rare slimes that come out of their hiding spots after rain for the great feast of mud. While mud slimes do eat mud, they can survive on other surfaces too, their only disadvantage being their slower movement and lack of food. Overall, a corral full of mud slimes should be filled with a thick layer of mud for them to feed and produce plorts.
Rancher Risks:[]
A mud slime requires mud for it to produce plorts, but this is rather risky as they can move faster while on mud, and is also known to leap out of its corral while playing.
Not only that, but mud slimes can be quite a handful on the ranch since they sport wings and curved horns. Those horns aren't really a problem by themselves as they are curved inwards, but they are very sturdy and sharp, and when combined with their high speed while on mud, they do become a deadly weapon.
Plortonomics:[]
Mud plorts make for a great, nutrient soil for plants to thrive in. Other than that, mud plorts aren't for great use and other than that are messy, as their shell quickly pops after harvest, leaving a pile of mud on the spot.
Appearance[]
A brown pancake-shaped slime that has two horns curving towards itself. They have a dripping texture.
Tips[]
- An Air Net is advised when keeping mud slimes as they leap when "playing".
- Keeping their mud level moderated reduces their chance of leaping.
- Keep in mind that there should be at least ten splashes of mud in a corral so the slimes inside can produce plorts.
Trivia[]
- Mud slimes are based off Mudwings, from Wings Of Fire.
- Despite their design being mostly based off that, they are pancake-shaped to resemble more of a mud puddle.
- Mud slimes do not die when on any other surface other than mud.
- Instead, they move slower, but do not produce plorts.
- The quote "A slime who likes to play dirty." is wordplay of mud being dirty, but also them often escaping while playing.
