Plankton are small creatures that can be fed to whirlpool slimes and whirlpool largos. They are very common in certain places with water. (Work in progress)
Types[]
Basic Details[]
There are 2 main types. Normal and sparkling. Normal ones are, well, normal. Sparkling ones have a 10% chance of replacing normal ones when spawning, and have different colors and amounts of food points.
Food Points[]
Food points are used when feeding a whirlpool slime. They need 30 to create a plort. Normal plankton give 1 food point, and sparkling plankton give 2 food points.

Plankton are tiny critters found commonly in the waters of The Crystal Lake. There are many different species of them, some more tasty than others. They are also very important part of the diet of whirlpool slimes, especially the sparkling ones.
On the Ranch:[]
Place at least 2 plankton in a Plankton Breeding Pool, and then they will breed with each other very quickly! Just keep in mind that there isn't infinite room, so if the number of plankton reaches at least 100, then they will refuse to breed until enough are removed.

Red-Orange (Red)[]
The red-orange one slightly resembles a shrimp, but it has many, MANY legs.
Light Blue (Blue)[]
The light blue one has a body shaped like an oval, with 10 legs, very long antennae, some light spots, and a weird tail-like thing.
Lime Green (Green)[]
The lime green one looks similar to a squid or jellyfish with some lighter stripes and other small details.
Sparkling[]
Light Yellow (Yellow)[]
The light yellow one is the same as the red-orange one, except that it is sparkly and it has a different color.
Light Blue-Green (Cyan)[]
The light blue-green one is the same as the light blue one, except that it is sparkly and it has a different color.
Light Purplish-Pink (Magenta)[]
The light purplish-pink one is the same as the lime green one, except that it is sparkly and it has a different color.
Trivia[]
- FlowerButterfly was originally going to create krill, but then they noticed that krill already existed, so they made plankton instead.
- Although these are just called plankton, there are actually multiple types of plankton in real life. These are based off of zooplankton.
